Chocobananos y Montañas Rusas – Choco-bananas and Roller Coasters
Hooooooola!
¡Ayayayayyyyy, canta y no llores!
Uff…
Entonces, te voy a contar donde he estado y qué he estado haciendo.
English Version:
Why, heloooo there! Remember me? I know I disappeared for a while, and you’re about to find out why.
I’m finding out (for the umpteenth time) that everything takes longer than we imagine, that the perfect routine doesn’t last forever, and that no matter how much I plan, there’s always unknown factors. Man!
I’m learning there’s never a perfect moment to do things: I either do them or they remain in the archive entitled “someday”, synonymous to “shoulda-woulda-coulda-but-didn’t.”
I’m realizing that this is moment of personal growth. Enter music for “Who Let The Dogs Out, Who Who Who Who?”
Al my wonderful ideas take a ton of work, prayer and time. It’s like discovering a new muscle after a major hike. Ouch!
It’s getting tough to exercise my perseverance muscle, the “won’t give up” muscle, the “not listening to negativity” muscle. It’s especially painful to come face to face with my weaknesses.
Ok… and we won’t even talk about the roller coaster of the giddiness in starting something new followed by the fear of the unknown, then the hope brought by the possibilities, and topped off by the tantamount question: Can I really do this?
So, question: Why keep going? Is this worth it?
These have been popular questions in my mental conversations lately.
Answer: Because God has given me a mission. Because I want better opportunities for our children. And because God thinks right now it’s time to grow. If I grow, my family grows, and so does my capacity for helping you and many others.
So… let me tell you what I’ve been up to:
- We just started a mini-business for our kids selling frozen choco-bananas.
- I just finished writing my first e-book in Spanish about raising our kids.
- I’m starting my career as an Herbalist.
- After a long break, I’m starting to write worship songs again.
All. Right. Now.
I thought my life was full and very busy before all of this! But we never know what we’re capable of until presented with the opportunities. And God makes sure He presents those opportunities!
So, answer: Yes! It’s worth it! Therefore, I’m diving in! Oh Lord, help me! 🙂
A big hug to you, can’t wait till our coffee date next week.
